Thomas Van De Velde

Thomas Van De Velde was born in Brussels with Belgian Nationality. He was graduated from Chemical Engieering at University of Brussels (1989) and Executive MBA Vlerick School of Management Ghent/Leuven (1996). Thomas has worked for 30 years in the petrochemical industry in such companies as BP Chemicals, Neste, Sabic and Borealis in various countries. Since Q2 2017 he is heading and leading the Digitalisation Programme for whole Borealis group on top of his SVP role leading the base chemicals. Currently, he is Senior Vice President of Business Unit Hydrocarbons & Energy in Borealis and Head of Borealis Digitalisation Programme. Board member of CEFIC Petrochemicals Europe.
